Comic 2

"Be bloody, bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn The power of man, for none of woman born Shall harm Macbeth. " (IV.i.79-81)

Macbeth has been told by the second ghost not to worry about getting killed because a child born of a woman cannot hurt Macbeth.  In this comic, a child is being held by his mother behind jail bars.  The child is wanting to kill Macbeth but the Mother is telling the child he can’t because he was born of a woman.  Macbeth is then standing strong and laughing because the child cannot hurt him.  This was a riddle that required some thinking.  When somebody sees this, they might think that Macbeth is untouchable because everybody has been born of a women... or have they?  We read in the next Act that not necessarily is everyone born of a woman.
